Company History
In 1965, Joseph Alfonzetti brought his talent and flair for creating beautiful landscapes from Italy to Westchester. In a short time he had established himself as a skilled artisan and creator of distinctive residential landscape arrangements large and small. In 1989 Joe and his son-in-law, Larry Wilson, combined their talents and love of horticulture and became Joseph Alfonzetti and Son, and eventually upon Joe's retirement, Lawrence Landscape Design. Their focus today remains the same as it did from their inception, science based plant health care, be it lawns, shrubs or trees, and painstaking attention to detail to create colorful, interesting and sustainable landscapes of distinction, large and small.

Eminently Experienced
Larry Wilson is an experienced horticulturist who has served his industry and community for decades. His distinctions include:

In 2007 he received the Friend of the Green Industry Award from The New York State Turfgrass Association.
In 2001 he was awarded the Unity Award by The Bayer Corporation (Bayer Crop Science) for his service to the turfgrass industry.
Chairman of the New York Alliance for Environmental Concerns.
Vice-Chairman of the Westchester County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Board.
In 2006 he helped establish GREENPAC, New York States Green Industry Political Action Committee, and presently is GREENPAC Chairman.
He works closely with Cornell Cooperative Extension to bring horticulture related educational programs and seminars to benefit those working in the lawn and landscape industry.
He is a NYSDEC certified pesticide applicator, for lawns, trees, shrubs and plants.

Larry is also known for his involvement with the New York State Turf and Landscape Association as a past President and Chairman of Government Affairs. He has volunteered his time for over to a decade in service to various landscape trade associations throughout the state, and has been involved in many industry advocacy projects.
